One person, an adult, died Saturday morning in a house fire in Douglas County, authorities said.

The fire was in the 8900 block of Western Pines, in the Fairways Lanes subdivision, Douglas fire spokesman Wes Tallon said.

Four engines responded about 9 a.m., Tallon said. One person escaped.
