All Gwinnett County residents 18 and younger can get free lunch and snacks at three parks this summer, according to the Gwinnett Parks Foundation.
The meals will be distributed at Best Friend Park in Norcross, Rhodes Jordan Park in Lawrenceville and the Lilburn Activity Building, an indoor recreation center managed by the county parks department. Kids and teens don’t have to qualify for free lunch at school in order to get the summer food; they just need to show up.
• Best Friend Park, 6224 Jimmy Carter Blvd., Norcross
• Rhodes Jordan Park, 100 E. Crogan St., Lawrenceville
• Lilburn Activity Building, 788 Hillcrest Road, Lilburn
Lunches will be distributed between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and snacks will be distributed from 2:30 to 3 p.m. They will be available Monday through Friday from June 3 to June 28 and July 8 to Aug. 2. The program does not operate July 1 through July 5.
