Does your kid want to learn about “chivalry, weaponry and valor?” Then Medieval Times has the summer program for them.

The Middle Ages-themed dinner theater experience is offering Junior Knight Training at its Lawrenceville castle/arena on weekends this summer. The classes will be held an hour before scheduled shows every Sunday and the first Saturday of the month between June 22 and July 28.

Kids ages 5 through 12 can participate in the program before they watch the show. Participants will observe a live weapons demonstration and then partake in an interactive tutorial with the show’s knights. They will learn basic sword techniques and get to visit the inside of the arena where the show is held.

Once training is complete, participating kids will be knighted by Queen Doña Maria Isabella, the monarch who reigns over Medieval Times’ nightly shows. Queen Isabella is the first woman to lead Medieval Times’ Lawrenceville show.

Access to Junior Knight Training is given on a first come, first served basis and is free with a child’s admission to the show. The first 80 kids who sign up each night will get to take part, and they must be wearing closed-toe shoes.

Tickets can be purchased on MedievalTimes.com or by phone at 1-888-WE-JOUST.
