Kennesaw State University started construction on a $26 million dorm Friday.

It will open in August to mark the 10-year anniversary of students being able to live on campus.

About 450 students will be able to live in the 207,500-square-foot building. Each apartment will have four bedrooms with private bathrooms, balconies, Wi-Fi and other perks.

Colleges are adding luxurious dorms to keep students on campus. When done, Kennesaw will have enough space to house about 15 percent of enrolled students.
