Kennesaw plans to start a national search for a new city manager to replace 11-year city manager Steve Kennedy. The council decided Feb. 2 not to renew Kennedy’s contract and approved his severance package last week. Kennedy will receive $50,000 severance pay and six months of health insurance and other benefits. His salary was $116,000. Assistant City Manager Steve Drobney will serve as interim manager.
