Kennesaw okays road closings for April 12-14

April 8, 2019Road closings have been approved by the Kennesaw City Council for the 43rd annual Superior Plumbing Kennesaw/Big Shanty Festival and Parade on April 13 and 14.
The road closings will begin at 6 p.m. April 12 until 9 p.m. April 14 for one of the largest arts and crafts shows in North Georgia.
These closings will be:
- J. O. Stephenson Avenue from Main Street to Dallas Street
- Cherokee Street from Main Street to Shirley Drive/Big Shanty Drive
- Watts Drive from Dallas Street to Main Street
- Lewis Street from Dallas Street to Main Street
Then beginning at 6 a.m. April 13 until 9 p.m. April 14, Main Street will be closed from Summer Street to Moon Station Road.
The festival will kick off with a parade at 9:30 a.m. Saturday followed by a giant family-friendly festival in downtown Kennesaw with a variety of activities to entertain all ages.
More than 200 booths will feature a vast array of unique homemade crafts.
