Climbing Kennesaw Mountain will become more agreeable this summer with a trailer stop at the top to buy cold drinks and ice cream.

On weekends now through Labor Day, Eastern National, a partner of the National Park Service, will sell convenience items at the top of Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.

Through its sales trailer for the second year, Eastern National will provide items that might be needed or wanted by park visitors.

Besides bottled water, Powerade and ice cream, among the items for sale will be snacks, caps, t-shirts and sunscreen.

The sales trailer will be in operation from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and major holidays.

Eastern National is a not-for-profit cooperating association with the park.

The mission of Eastern National is to promote the public’s understanding and support of America’s national parks and other public trust partners by providing quality experiences, products and services, according to a park statement.

Sale proceeds will help fund interpretive and educational programs at Kennesaw Mountain.
