Kennesaw to consider 2 entertainment districts

Establishing two entertainment districts to allow open containers of alcoholic beverages are under consideration in Kennesaw.

Kennesaw Mayor Derek Easterling and the City Council will conduct public hearings on this new law at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 7 and 22 in the City Council Chambers, Kennesaw City Hall, 2529 J. O. Stephenson Ave., Kennesaw.

They also will decide whether to change Chapter 6 “Alcoholic Beverages” in the City Code.

For public viewing, a copy of the five-page proposed ordinance and maps is on file in the Office of the City Clerk from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, also at City Hall.
