The Kennesaw City Council has approved final site plans for a $20 million, mixed-use development on Dallas Street, Watts Drive and Lewis Street.

Dallas and Main LLC plans a project with 167 apartments, 3,000 square feet of restaurant space and 7,000 square feet of commercial space on 7.5 acres. The plan also includes renovating the existing Lewis Home.

Kennesaw has approved three downtown developments in the last year. The city developed a master plan for redeveloping its downtown 10 years ago. Planning and Zoning Administrator Darryl Simmons said infrastructure improvements had to be made before development could start.
