The city of Kennesaw is inviting the public to mark our nation’s birthday with its Salute To America celebration.
The pre-Independence Day event, which will include music, food and fireworks, is set for 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 3 in downtown Kennesaw. Admission to Kennesaw’s event is free.
Attendees can expect vendor booths and pay-to-play inflatables and rides. Food and drinks will be available to purchase, but you can also bring a picnic basket and coolers. Grills are not allowed at the event.
If you’re planning on bringing a few friends, a rectangular table in front of the Depot Stage, which seats six, can be reserved for $75. With the exception of reserved tables near the Depot Stage, all seating will be general admission so residents are encouraged to bring a blanket or comfortable chairs.
Music acts taking the stage will be:
Main Street Stage
5:30-6:30 p.m.: Daniel Lieving
7-9:30 p.m.: The Weekend Getaway Band
6-7 p.m.: The Paul Hand Band
7:30-9:30 p.m.: BAND X
The city’s fireworks finale will begin at 9:30 p.m. Kennesaw’s event may be cancelled or postpone due to inclement weather.
