Cobb residents can securely discard their household documents during Keep Cobb Beautiful’s “Document Shredding Day” Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. to noon. Only paper products will be accepted — no plastics, CDs, floppy discs, electronics, cardboard or large binders with metal rings or clips. The event will be held at Piedmont Church, 570 Piedmont Road, Marietta; Powder Springs City Hall, 4484 Marietta St., Powder Spring; Wolfe Adult Recreation Center, 884 Church St., Smyrna and Marietta Power, 591 N.
