Karaoke to highlight after-school need

Youth organizations nationwide will be holding events today to promote the importance of after-school programs.

Locally, VOX Teen Communications is sponsoring a karaoke night at 5 p.m. at their office on 229 Peachtree Street.

According to the Afterschool Alliance, 15 million American children spend their afternoons alone and unsupervised.
