A Georgia Power spokesman said about 3,100 customers in Kennesaw were without power for an hour Wednesday.

The utility service still does not know what caused the outage, which spokesman John Kraft, said lasted from 1:08 to 2:03 p.m.

Crews powered the lines back up, and they worked.

“That’s not completely unusual,” he said.

The outage was centered around Cobb County International Airport McCollum Field, near where North Cobb and McCollum parkways meet.

He said crews patrolled the area to look for obvious damage that could have caused the outage but found none.

Officer Scott Luther, city police spokesman, said several intersections were without power.
