A motorcyclist was killed in Chamblee on Tuesday evening when the bike crashed into a telephone pole.

The rider of the Yamaha motorcycle lost control on a curve while traveling east on Chamblee Dunwoody Road near Connemara Drive, according to Chamblee police. The biker was ejected when the motorcycle hit the pole and was dead at the scene about 7 p.m.

The victim’s name is not being released until family is notified.
