The Buckhead Library unexpectedly closed Friday, the last day of early voting, due to maintenance issues.

The library, located at 269 Buckhead Avenue NE, was one of the county's early voting locations. The facility also closed last week due to an emergency sewer repair.

A library associate reached by phone at the location declined to comment on what the maintenance issues are this week. Library operations and early voting are suspended until the repairs are complete.

Two nearby early voting locations are Chastain Recreation Center, at 140 W. Wieuca Road, and Northside Library, at 3295 Northside Parkway NW.

Early voting for the May 22 general primary, nonpartisan and special elections ends May 18. There is no early voting on Saturday, May 19 or Monday, May 21.
