The city of Jonesboro recently welcomed David Allen as Community Development Director. A native of Atlanta, Allen

earned a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University.

He is a Georgia Registered Landscape Architect and has worked in various landscape architecture and engineering firms in Norfolk, Virginia, Macon and Fayetteville. Most recently, he has served as the Planning and Development Director for Pike County, Georgia. In 2011, was appointed to the Three Rivers Regional Commission’s Planning Advisory Council.
