Johns Creek is inviting residents to eight community workshops in March and April to comment on the latest draft of the city's Comprehensive Plan.

The workshops, each set for 6:30 to 8 p.m., will focus on eight community areas: Tech Park, March 14, at the Municipal Court, 11445 Johns Creek Parkway; River Estates, March 20, in the Thornhill Clubhouse, 9200 Waits Ferry Crossing; Medlock, March 21, at Taylor Lodge, 10045 Parsons Road; and Autrey Mill, March 28, in the Summerour House, 9770 Autrey Mill Road.

Also, Johns Creek North, March 29, in the Seven Oaks Clubhouse, 12275 Seven Oaks Parkway; Ocee, April 11, in the Cameron Forest Clubhouse, 5090 Cameron Forest Parkway; Shakerag, April 19, at Johns Creek United Methodist Church, 11180 Medlock Bridge Road; and Newtown, April 24, at Mount Pisgah, 2850 Old Alabama Road. The plan is intended to preserve Johns Creek existing neighborhoods by reducing the number of new units per acre; form community areas and encourage more community involvement; improve transportation connectivity along roads and paths; provide premier parks and recreational opportunities to all residents; and improve the city’s economic base, officials said.
