Johns Creek has scheduled three public hearings this month on a proposed property tax millage rate of 4.360 that would remain unchanged from last year’s rate.

The hearings are scheduled for 8 p.m. Sept. 11, and for 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sept. 25, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 12000 Findley Road, Suite 300. The City Council is to adopt a millage rate at its meeting starting at 7 p.m., Sept. 25.

According to the Current Tax Digest and History of Levy published by Johns Creek, 2017 will see a net maintenance and operations digest of $4.12 million and a net M&O millage rate of 4.360, unchanged from 2016 and down from 4.614 in 2015 and for three years prior to that.

Net taxes levied will rise by $235,465 to $17.98 million, a net increase of 1.33 percent.
