Johns Creek has set Sept. 18 as the date it will move its city hall to a temporary home at 10700 Abbotts Bridge Road Suite 190, city officials said.

City departments to vacate the present city hall at 12000 Findley Road include the city clerk, community development, communications, finance, fire, geographic information systems, information technology, public works, recreation and parks and revenue. Phone numbers and email addresses will not change.

Starting Oct. 3, meetings of the Johns Creek City Council, Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals and zoning public participation meetings will take place at the Municipal Court/Police Department, 11445 Johns Creek Parkway. The Arts & Culture Board, Public Art Board and Convention & Visitors Bureau will meet at the Abbotts Bridge location.

A new city hall is being prepared in renovated offices at 11360 Lakefield Drive. Officials have said the work is expected to take 12 to 18 months.
