A planning workshop set for later this month, an online survey and even an interactive game are among the tools Johns Creek is fielding to gather public comment on the update of its 2008 Comprehensive Plan.

The workshop is to begin at 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at City Hall, 12000 Findley Road. Additional workshops are planned for January. The survey, posted at bit.ly/2di3gFZ, asks residents how they view the city today and what they'd like to see in the future.

And the "Johns Creek Planning 101 Game" invites residents to build their ideal city by placing colored tiles on an interactive grid, and sharing the completed grid with the city. To play the game: bit.ly/2eQ5BbH

(There's also a version for children, based on the popular Minecraft game, to be offered during the workshop. A Minecraft account and a laptop are needed to play. Information: bit.ly/2eYog2D)

The “Connect Johns Creek” campaign seeks to update the plan that encompasses transportation, land use, future development and other issues.
