Johns Creek officials are asking the public’s help as they seek to transform a 728-acre area around Technology Park into a central business district.

City consultant Urban Design Associates wants to hear proposals for “The District” at a public meeting set for 7 p.m. Feb. 10 at Johns Creek City Hall, 12000 Findley Road, Suite 300. The city is pushing what it calls a major, long-term project because the tax base is now heavily residential, with commercial establishments paying less than 20 percent of the freight.

After additional public meetings the week of April 13, the consultant team will start developing design concepts for the area.
