The city of Johns Creek is participating in the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on April 30.
Residents can get rid of expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutical drugs by bringing them to RBC Bank at 11758 Jones Bridge Road between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The event is sponsored by Johns Creek Police Department in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration to reduce prescription drug abuse.
Last year, Americans turned in more than 121 tons of unwanted prescription drugs during the first “National Take Back” Day.
