The Johns Creek City Council has approved a rezoning request to allow the top two floors of an existing office building to be converted to a medical office with ambulatory surgery center.

Johns Creek Professional Plaza LLC requested the zoning change, from M-1A (Industrial Park District) to O-1 (Office Institutional District) for a four-story, 100,000-square-foot building and its 9.45-acre site at 11315 Johns Creek Parkway.

The proposed medical uses include radiology imaging, pharmacy, ambulatory surgery center and pathology labs, but no emergency surgeries or overnight stays, according to a staff report to the council.

“The only exterior improvement is a new pickup/drop-off area for patients at the northwest entrance of the building, including minor parking and access enhancements,” staff said.
