The city of Johns Creek is reminding city businesses that they face a March 31 deadline to renew their business tax certificates, or licenses, by submitting a business tax return with full payment of all taxes/fees.

While city officials mailed renewal applications the final week of December, they stress that not receiving an application doesn’t let businesses off the hook. Licenses are valid for a calendar year, and late-payers will be hit with a 10 percent penalty and interest of 1.5 percent monthly.
