Johns Creek’s “Music in the Park” returns to Newtown Park June 18 with live music, food, and kids games.

The event begins at 4 p.m. with children’s activities. The Beethoven Chamber Orchestra, a local youth-based group plays at 5:45 p.m., followed by the Johns Creek Symphony playing a diverse program of Broadway and Americana music at 7:30 p.m.

There will be prizes for “Best Americana Themed Picnic,” “Most Musical Themed Picnic” and “Best Georgia Themed Picnic.” Publix is providing free hot dogs, hamburgers and cold sodas.
