One down and three to go for Johns Creek.

The city’s Public Works Department said it’s finished the first round of a four-year program to repave the city’s neighborhood streets, resurfacing 34.33 miles in 34 subdivisions. The city said it spent nearly $6 million in 2015 toward maintaining neighborhood streets. Among the subdivisions getting a makeover was Double Gate, the city’s largest.

The city inaugurated the program last year to repave side streets they said had been neglected while under Fulton County jurisdiction. Officials have set aside another $5 million for repaving in 2016, which they said would enable them to tackle 28 more neighborhoods.
