For the second time in two weeks Jack’s New Yorker Deli in Johns Creek was hit by a smash-and-grab, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Early Saturday morning a burglar broke into the store, stealing the register and safe. The burglar first cut off power to the store and then smashed in the door, according to Channel 2.

“For somebody to come in and do this after I’ve worked so hard for so many years to get this place up and running is devastating,” deli owner Brian Dixon told Channel 2.

Dixon told Channel 2 that the incidents are taking a toll on his family.

“The first time they broke in two weeks ago, it was a night after my 2-week-old was born,” he said.

Surveillance video from the store shows a man wearing a mask and a white long-sleeved shirt waiting outside the store. Johns Creek police told Channel 2 the suspect was last seen running down Lake Field Drive. Police are reviewing the video and investigating the incidents, according to Channel 2.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
