Johns Creek has called a public information meeting for Jan. 11 to talk about “traffic calming” measures for Buice Road.

At the meeting, scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. at the Municipal Court/Police Department headquarters, 11445 Johns Creek Parkway, city staff will make a brief presentation, display preliminary concept drawings and answer questions.

The city, officials said, “needs to remove the speed tables on Buice Road (between Jones Bridge Road and Kimball Bridge Road) and replace them with a more comprehensive and attractive traffic calming infrastructure. Our No. 1 priority is slowing down traffic for the safety of the residents along Buice Road.”

Officials said they want to work with residents to develop a plan that enhances pedestrian safety and maintains property values.
