To celebrate International Women's Day, Care and the World Affairs Council of Atlanta's Young Leaders are hosting a panel discussion on empowering women.

The event will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Care, 151 Ellis St. N.E. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m.

Speakers include Doris Bartel, acting head of gender and empowerment, Care; Ellen Beattie, executive director, International Rescue Committee; Kaffie McCullough, campaign director of A Future Not a Past, of the Juvenile Justice Fund; and Laura K. Crawley, director, executive MBA program, Georgia State University Robinson College of Business.

Admission is $10 for council members; $15 for non-members; and no cost for Care staffers. Students get in free by emailing: info@ylwacatlanta.org.  Space is limited.
