Inmate dies in Cherokee County jail
An inmate in the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center died Monday after being held there for a little more than a week.
Bobby Kilgore, 71, was booked into jail June 6 for a probation violation. Police said he had a medical condition that required him to be housed in the medical unit.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation will conduct a routine investigation into the death. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
