Cobb police are investigating a head-on crash that injured two people Tuesday in Marietta.
Officers were dispatched at 4:33 p.m. July 16 to the collision on Bells Ferry Road near Adair Drive. A preliminary investigation indicates a gold 2016 Subaru Outback stopped behind a Cobb Community Transit Bus, which was at the bus stop on the southbound side of the road.
A black 2014 Ford Mustang was approaching the Subaru from behind when it veered to the left and “clipped” the SUV, Cobb police said. The Ford continued in the northbound lane and crashed head-on into a black 2009 Toyota Camry that was traveling northbound on Bells Ferry Road.

That impact caused the Toyota to shift to the right where it continued across the sidewalk and came to a stop in the parking lot at 1480 Bells Ferry Road.
Lisa McNeel, 61, of White, the driver of the Subaru, was not injured. The driver of the Mustang, 18-year-old Kerry Williams of Marietta, was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Marietta resident Tate Johnson, 19, the driver of the Camry, was also transported to Kennestone with non-life-threatening injuries.
Cobb police continue to investigate the collision, and anyone with information is asked to call 770-499-3987.
