A man in his 20s was injured Tuesday when two people tied him up and beat him inside his home in Cobb County, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Two men, one armed with a crowbar and the other with a handgun, broke into the home on Vinings Oak Drive, the station reported. The victim was attacked as he slept.

The victim, who was not identified, untied himself and ran outside for help, the station reported. He was taken to a hospital.

Police are still searching for the people involved.

Wendy Harrison, who lives next door to the victim, told the station she heard some knocking sounds earlier in the morning. Then she came out to find police there.

"I'm worried about him, I'm worried about the mother and her other son and their dog," Harrison told Channel 2.
