The Roswell Adult Aquatics Center is changing its rules on who can and can’t use the facility.

Starting Aug. 1, RAAC will allow all adults, age 25 and older, to use the indoor swimming center on Grimes Bridge Road. Previously, only people who were 50 and older could use the facility.

RAAC is also extending its hours on some days and offering new fitness classes. On Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, the center will be open until 8:30 p.m. – one hour longer than it was before. On Saturday, the facility formerly closed at 2:30 p.m., but it is extending its hours to 6 p.m.

“It is our mission to deliver high-quality recreational, health and wellness opportunities to as many of our citizens as possible and to do so in a way that maximizes the utilization of existing facilities and residents’ tax dollars,” said Jeff Pruitt, Interim Director of the Roswell Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Department.

The swim center opened in Roswell in 2016 and provides lap pools, aquatic therapy, aqua aerobics and other classes. It is open Monday through Saturday, and membership prices can be found on the City of Roswell's website.
