The accident happened about 3:30 p.m. Sunday when a black SUV collided with into a white 2011 Nissan Versa on northbound I-75 north of Hudson Bridge Road, police said. The Nissan plunged into the woods on the side of the highway and crashed.

All northbound lanes of the interstate were closed for several hours as rescue personnel worked to extricate one victim trapped inside the car.
