Inclement weather conditions Friday caused numerous delays which left travelers no choice but to sleep at the airport.

Many of them told Channel 2’s Steve Gehlbach they were disappointed in the less than luxurious sleep situations because there was little to no effort to lodge them elsewhere.

“People are very upset,” one woman said.

Those not standing in line all night found anywhere they could to sleep.

Some settled for shoe shine stands or office chairs. Others just slept on the floor.

Passengers told Channel 2’s Steve Gehlbach all hotels in the area are booked.

“We were not given any kind of consideration for a place to stay. We were given a toiletry kit and told to get on our way. I’m disappointed,” one passenger told Gehlbach.

Some are now considering making drives up to 18 hours to reach their destinations.

Numerous calls and emails to Delta were not returned overnight.
