This year’s municipal elections aren’t over for voters in Doraville and Stonecrest. Those two DeKalb County cities will hold runoff elections on Tuesday, Dec. 3, and early voting is now open.

In Doraville, voters will select a mayor. Out of an initial pool of four candidates, the race is now down to incumbent Mayor Donna Pittman and former councilman Joseph Geierman.

Residents in City Council District 5 in Stonecrest can pick who they want to fill the unexpired term of Diane Adoma, who had to step down after qualifying to run for mayor. District 5 includes the central and southern portions of the city.

Out of a six-person race in November, Tammy Grimes and Dave Marcus were the top two vote-getters, earning their spots in the runoff.

Two locations in DeKalb are offering early voting, according to the county elections board:

  • Voter Registration & Elections Office: 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300, Decatur, GA 30032
  • Stonecrest Library: 2123 Klondike Road, Lithonia, GA 30038

The locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, and Monday to Wednesday, Nov. 25-27.

On Election Day, voters must head to their assigned precinct. You can find where to vote on the Secretary of State's My Voter Page.
