There’s just a few weeks left to register your child for DeKalb County schools.

The first day of school for the DeKalb County School District is Monday, Aug. 6. Students new to DeKalb, students who move to a different school zone within the county and all returning students are required to register, according to the district’s website.

Registration is an ongoing process that occurs throughout the year. Returning students must submit their updated registration forms before July ends.

Parents of first-time students can register online at www.dekalbschoolsga.org/registration/. Documents proving the student lives in district, such as current utility bills, a signed lease or mortgage contract are required. Other documents will also be required.

Designated registration times are available from 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Mondays - Thursdays at 1192 Clarendon Ave.
