Homeowners affected by the September and October floods are invited to a housing workshop Friday at the Austell Threadmill Complex at 5000 Austell-Powder Springs Road in Austell.

General information sessions will be held at 1, 4 and 6 p.m. with federal, state and local agency representatives. Homeowners can also talk to HUD-approved counselors about how to obtain mortgage relief from lenders and determine whether they’re eligible for government mortgage assistance programs.

People who plan to attend should visit www.cobbcounty.org or call 770-499-4567 and leave their names, current and permanent addresses, phone numbers or e-mails. Walk-ins are welcomed. Homeowners should bring mortgage documents.
