Hopewell Christian Academy dancers learn from pros

Hopewell Christian Academy of Norcross co-hosted a visit this week by members of the nationally-acclaimed Alvin Ailey Dance Theater.

More than 400 students from across the metro area attended the dance workshop on the campus of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. Professional ballet and jazz dancers with Alvin Ailey’s troupe taught students basic movements. They also were encouraged to develop an appreciation for dance as an art and method of exercise.

The event was co-sponsored by Hopewell Baptist’s dance ministry.
