The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously at its June 16 regular meeting to approve an abatement/removal order for property declared a public nuisance.

According to code enforcement officials, the site at 403 Rosser Road in McDonough has been the source of multiple complaints and code violations, resulting in it being declared unfit for habitation and a danger to public health and safety of people who live in the vicinity. The house will be demolished and all surrounding land on the property cleaned up, including trash removal and rodent control.

The property will have to be probated because the most recent owner is deceased.
