The Holly Springs City Council has amended its noise ordinance, with restrictions on construction activity.

According to the amended ordinance, no “erection, including excavation, demolition, alteration, or repair of any building within the city” can be done outside the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, or 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays. The restriction applies to construction equipment and activity.

No outside construction or repair is allowed on Sundays or legal holidays – New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas – unless a permit for working such days has been obtained.

Interior construction is allowed, subject to other provisions of the noise ordinance. Information: https://bit.ly/2T2pOvd
