Holly Springs is accepting applications for the Fall 2016 session of “Holly Springs 101,” classes to educate residents about how the city operates and encourage them to become active in government and their neighborhoods.

Sessions will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays for six weeks beginning Oct. 11 in the Public Safety Building, 3235 Holly Springs Parkway. A light dinner will be served.

Each two-hour session covers a different city department. The class schedule is: Oct. 11, City Clerk’s Office and Community Boards; Oct. 18, Police; Oct. 25, Finance and Administration; Nov. 1, Community Development; Nov. 8, Fire; and Nov. 15, Stormwater and Main Street Departments and graduation. City staff will be on hand to explain their duties and answer questions.

Class size is limited to 25 persons. Deadline for applications is Oct. 7 or until a class reaches capacity.
