The Georgia State Patrol sought the public's help Monday finding a vehicle that struck and killed an Acworth man as he walked on a Cherokee County road.

Larry Allen Ward, 31, was killed about 12:30 a.m. Saturday as he walked along Kellogg Creek Road near Romain Drive, according to a GSP news release.

Ward likely was struck by a 1989 to 1992 Ford Explorer or Ford Ranger, crash investigators determined. The vehicle would have crash damage to its front, including the grill. Its color and tag number were not known.

The GSP asks anyone with information on the vehicle or incident to contact the GSP Jasper post at 706-692-4835 or the Calhoun office of the GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team at 706-624-1484.
