The Henry County Board of Education appointed the same chair and vice-chair for 2020 as in 2019.

The first order of business at the Jan. 13 regular meeting saw district superintendent Mary Elizabeth Davis facilitate the nominations for chair. Josh Hinton nominated by Pam Nutt, while Annette Edwards nominated herself. The nominations were addressed in the order they were received, and Hinton was elected chair by majority vote. Hinton then called for nominations for vice-chair, with Edwards nominating herself and Sophe Pope nominating Holly Cobb. Edwards’ nomination did not receive a majority vote, but Cobb’s did.

Both Hinton and Cobb served in the same roles last year.
