Hill Street, park closed in Duluth

Duluth has closed Hill Street between West Lawrenceville Street and State Route 120 until Aug. 12 for construction staging as well as construction of the remaining curb, sidewalk, and retaining wall along that section of road.
The road will reopen for July 3, only, to allow for better traffic circulation during the city’s Independence Day celebration.
In addition, Scott Hudgens Park, 4545 River Green Parkway is closed until Sept. 15. SPLOST funds are making way for parking improvements to the park as well as some roadwork.
