Before the Braves play the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday afternoon, fans will have a rousing outing of the “where can I park at SunTrust?” game.
Afternoon Braves games, like Wednesday's that starts at 12:10 p.m., have their own intricacies those going should be aware of, most importantly being the fact that you can't buy parking at the stadium.
"There is no Braves owned or managed parking that will be available for purchase on-site. No payment will be accepted at any Braves owned or managed parking lot for this game," the team warned.
That means folks need to buy parking ahead of time, which you can do online.
The Braves have partnered with the navigation app Waze, so here are directions to the lots with parking available for purchase ahead of the game:
- Battery Red Deck, opens at 8 a.m.
- Battery Orange Deck/Braves valet parking, opens at 8 a.m.
- Battery Delta Deck, opens at 8 a.m.
- Braves North 25, opens at 8 a.m.
- Braves North 29, opens at 8 a.m.
- Braves East 42, opens at 9 a.m.
- Braves East 43, opens at 9 a.m.
- Braves South 60, opens at 10 a.m.
- Braves South 65, opens at 10 a.m.
- Braves South 68, opens at 9 a.m.
- Braves West 85, opens at 9 a.m.
- Cumberland Church, opens at 9 a.m.
Gates open two hours before first pitch. Most of the regular tailgating rules apply, but you can only get your pre-game (at that hour, maybe it's more mimosas than Bud Lights?) on at lots North 29 and West 85.
Or you could always use public transit to get to the game.
