If you don't have July 4th plans, check out this guide of how to celebrate in Cobb County. But if none of those do it for you, there's always July 4th Fest at Six Flags Over Georgia.

We understand: Even though it’s been on the calendar since 1776, old July 4 can sneak up on everyone.

There will be discounts of between $15 and $21, according to the Six Flags website, from June 30 to actual Independence Day.

Those who come to the Austell theme park with a can of any Coca-Cola product get to ride these attractions an hour before opening: Twisted Cyclone, Georgia Scorcher, Dare Devil Dive, Goliath, Crime Wave, Batman: The Ride, Mindbender and The Joker Chaos Coaster. The cans will be donated.

There will be a fireworks show each night of the weeklong event.

Take a ride with the AJC’s Kelly Audette on Six Flags Over Georgia’s Twisted Cyclone roller coaster. The new coaster combines a classic wooden structure integrated with a modern, steel track for multiple inversions and a smoother, more thrilling riding experience.
