A Henry County woman died and her 5-year-old son was injured Wednesday morning in a wreck in McDonough.
The wreck occurred around 7:45 a.m. on Ga. Hwy. 20 near the entrance to the Indian Creek Overlook subdivision in McDonough, said Henry County Police spokesman Maj. Jason Bolton.
Bolton said a Chrysler Pacifica station wagon traveling east on Ga. 20, crossed the center line and struck a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Susan Studle, 43, of McDonough.
Studle was transported to Henry Medical Center where she died from her injuries, Bolton said. Studle's 5-year-old son, who was in the back seat, was taken to Children's Healthcare at Egleston, where he was treated for minor injuries.
The driver of the Pacifica, who was not identified, was taken to Atlanta Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Bolton said.
Possible charges against the driver of the Pacifica will be determined by the Henry County District Attorney’s Office after police complete their investigation, Bolton said.
