Residents looking to get rid of their old electronics appropriately are encouraged by Henry County officials to bring them to an event scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jason T. Harper Event Center, 95 Lake Dow Road in McDonough.

Each item can be disposed of for a small processing fee that varies depending on the size and type of item. Participants will not be reimbursed for their electronics. An official with the county’s stormwater department said that participation “will help promote social and environmental stewardship and discourage dumping and pollution of our shared water resources.”

Information: 770-288-7244 or ateachout@co.henry.ga.us. For a full list of electronics that will be accepted, visit the Recycling Center page on the county’s website, henrycounty-ga.org.
