The Henry County Board of Education is considering a $407 million budget for the 2019-2020 school year.

The tentative budget was approved unanimously at the board’s May 13 regular meeting, and the final budget is scheduled for consideration at the June 10 meeting. General fund revenue is projected at $407,152,238 with tax digest projections and state funding totals up about $5 million from earlier reports. The budget summary projected expenditures at $404,634,349 for 43,309 students, an average of $9,343 per student.

According to FY2018 figures mentioned in the report, Henry County had the sixth-highest budget per student among the ten largest school districts in Georgia.
